The Association of Snowsport Instructors and Coaches of Montenegro – MASI actively contributes to the development and advancement of snowsports through training, professional development, and continuous education of personnel working in this field. MASI collaborates with the Ski Association of Montenegro, the University of Montenegro, schools, sports centers, and other institutions and organizations connected to mountain and winter sports. An important part of MASI’s work is fostering cooperation with international organizations such as ISIA, IVSI, and INTERSKI, through active participation in international meetings, seminars, and projects.
According to the Statute of the Ski Association of Montenegro, of which MASI is a full member, MASI is authorized to organize and conduct the education and licensing of snowsport instructors and coaches in Montenegro. The Association is responsible for overseeing and verifying the professional qualifications of all individuals engaged in training and teaching at Montenegrin ski resorts, as well as for recognizing certain international licenses and standards.
In accordance with these responsibilities, MASI organizes professional seminars and gatherings each winter season for the preparation, acquisition, and renewal of instructor, demonstrator, and coach licenses. In addition to regular seminars, MASI also organizes preparatory camps for instructor candidates, as well as specialized programs focused on advancing ski technique and teaching methodology.
The MASI Teaching Commission continuously works on developing and improving training methodology, following modern global trends and standards in snowsport education. Special emphasis is placed on teaching quality, practical skills, safety on snow, and the professional growth of its members, thereby contributing to raising the overall level of expertise in winter sports in Montenegro.
