MASI was founded on 26 November 1994 in Mojkovac, and officially registered as a sports organization by the Ministry of Sports of Montenegro on 5 December 1994.
From the very beginning, the Association’s mission has been to advance professional work, improve the education of instructors, and strengthen the international integration of Montenegrin skiing with global standards.
Since 2005, MASI has been a full member of the world’s leading snowsport instructor organizations:
-
ISIA (International Ski Instructors Association) – since 30 November 2005
-
IVSI (International Association of Snowsport Instructors) – since 9 April 2005
-
IVSS (International Federation of Snowsport for Schools and Universities) – since 3 March 2005
-
INTERSKI International – since 31 May 2005
Today, MASI brings together instructors and coaches of all snowsport disciplines — alpine and nordic skiing, snowboarding, telemark, and others — and is dedicated to developing expertise, professional standards, and international cooperation.
Warmth, professionalism, and a spirit of community form the core of MASI — a place where the love for the mountains grows into knowledge, and knowledge becomes experience passed on to new generations of skiers.
